PE and Sport Premium Funding

At our school, we use the PE and Sport Premium funding to enhance the quality of physical education, sport and active lifestyles for all pupils. The funding helps us provide specialist coaching, high-quality PE lessons, staff training, a wider range of sporting opportunities, and participation in competitions and enrichment activities. Our aim is to encourage every child to develop confidence, teamwork, resilience and a lifelong love of being active. We carefully monitor the impact of our spending to ensure that all pupils benefit from engaging, inclusive and enjoyable physical activity experiences that support both their physical and mental wellbeing.

Examples of opportunities this year include a visit from a scooter and skateboarding coach, subsidised swimming lessons for Key Stage 2, sports specialists working twice weekly with the children and a circus skills workshop.

As part of the Heath Academy Trust each year group will have at least one competitive event that they participate in. From dance competitions to tag rugby and swimming galas, our children love making friendships across schools and competing for the all important cup and medals!
